The
wines of Palacios Remondo, Rioja, Spain
The family property of the famous Palacios clan
The Palacios family are making some of
Spain's most exciting wines. We have Alvaro
Palacios, who makes stunning wines in Priorat. Then there's the
Bierzo project of Descendientes de J. Palacios in Corrullón, a
partnership between Alvaro and nephew Ricardo Perez Palacios.
Alvaro's brother, Rafael Palacios,
makes excellent wines in Valdeorras. And finally, we have the family
property of Palacios Remondo in Rioja.
This is based in the eastern part of the
region, with a more Mediterranean climate. Garnacha does better
here. These wines are really good, and are relatively affordable.
