A 300 ha estate in Mendoza, with vineyards in the Medrano,
Maipu and Lujan de Cuyo regions. It’s been going a while: the
Correas family have run this Bodega since 1860. This is a solid,

Luis Correas Sauvignonasse 2002 Mendoza
Sauvignonasse is a synonym for the northeastern Italian variety
Tocai Friuliano. Lovely herbal edge to the distinctive aromatic nose.
The palate is bright and fruity with a herby varietal character.

Luis Correas Sauvignonasse/Chardonnay 2002 Mendoza
More herbal character here on the nose with some crisp fruitiness.
The palate shows rounded fruity character. Clean and attractive. Very

Luis Correas Chardonnay 2002 Mendoza
Bright vivid fruit on the nose with a savoury, almost medicinal
edge. The palate shows attractive spicy fruit with a distinctive
savoury edge and good acid. Great for the price. Very good+ (£4.49)
Luis Correas Syrah 2002 Mendoza
Savoury roasted edge to the pure berry fruit on the nose. The
palate shows rich fruit and good density with a savoury, toasted edge.

Luis Correas Malbec 2002 Mendoza
Slightly restrained nose showing focused spicy fruit. Really
appealing palate with vivid, juicy, well defined fruit. Ripe but with
good acidity. Lovely balance. Very good/excellent (£4.99)
Luis Correas Malbec Oaked 1999 Mendoza
Lovely herbal complexity on the palate, which is mid weight.

Really appealing, spicy herb-tinged nose. The palate is midweight
and chewy, with savoury nicely balanced fruit showing some herbal
