Great posting, Jamie - you really made me want to go out and try these wines. So - where can I get them in Uk and approximately how much are they? And an idea of alcohol content would be good too
Best wishes

do the shape of the bottles affect the quality of the wine?
I go ever so often to Portugal and tried out many vinho verde, however I am uncertain whether i have ever come across garrafeira which sell this intersting Vinhao tested at your blog. thanks for posting this surprise. / anders
The Reguengo and Vinhao are both 12.5%
Reguengo is carried by Hallgarten - contact emma.fake@wiv-ag.com
Rather reminiscent of those Open University lectures that used to be on the BBC while you were waiting for kids telly to start on Saturday morning!
That Melgaco was one my wines of the year 2008, although I think your description is a little misleading. I think there's a strong minerality to this wine that balances out the fruit - so others out there who think it sounds worryingly fruity can relax!
Thats was excellent - sadly very little vinho verde makes it down under....
Great stuff Jamie. Where is your engraved Man City spit-bucket?!!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
This is what the blog-o-sphere needs!
I am an avid reader of, "The Scinece of Wine: From Vine to Glass," (as in I read it often to refresh the in depth knowledge)and constantly refer to you and it when I do wine tastings in my shop and my wine bar!
Please keep the Vlogs coming!

I wholeheartedly agree - your video clips are EXCELLENT. Can we get them more often? Also how about videoing your thoughts on some controversial or thought-provoking subjects? (whatever those may be!!).
Just watched this again - really excellent - love hearing the puppies in the background and great idea to end with the "live" footage - PLEASE do these more often - one a week?
Thanks for a thorough review Jamie. Watch out though for the competition... My son is starting his own vlog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Otux7BNhE6o
