Montepulciano

Had lunch in Montepulciano, a charming hilltop village. We ate at Caffe Poliziano, where the food was fantastic, and the view from the scenic terrace table was stunning. This afternoon we swam, and now we're off to find some dinner. Sorry for the brevity of the post, but time is short!

I don't know what you travel plans are in the area and I guess you'll be focused on the better known wine producers (I guess San Gimignano; Vernaccia, Orvieto?). I really like Siena and you're not too far from Perugia and Assisi (in Umbria)with Cortona on the way.
For a little inspiration www.360tuscany.net may help.
Have a good time.

Hello! beautiful pictures! I´m going there the 3rd of august, to "il sasso" school. I would like a lot if you post more info (people, good places to go...) about montepulciano, because I´m going alone and I´m a bit "scared"!jeje!
Thanksss!!

No need to be scared about Montepulciano. Its a magnificent place, the Caffe Poliziano does have a great view. I used to live there, so if you want any info, give us a call. Massimo Romeo's wines are top notch, and Crociani has a small cantina shop at the top of the hill in the town centre to buy their wines from. Magnificent place, and Pienza is just as beautiful and only a few km away.
