Just written up an amazing tasting of Quinta do Noval’s Nacional and Vintage Ports back to 1962. It was a remarkable, once-in-a-lifetime tasting, taking in 15 vintages of Nacional. I wish I could share the wines with you, rather than just my tasting notes.

I wish I could share the wines with you too!
Grim–rather you than me
you not a Port fan, Keith?
Not really Jamie. Love very old Madiera, such as the wine we will be having at the Jancis Robinson Pebbles charity dinner, but generally do not drink much port.
Did you see a 1991 Nacional? I had a bottle about five years ago. Easily the best ’91 port I’ve tried, and was only £90 then… Not seen in Broadbent etc notes either, so I’ve no other reference point for it.
