Doug on red vinho verde and wine writers
Quick plug for the 'Grapevine' on the Les Caves de Pyrene website, written by Doug Wregg and his colleagues. Two recent articles that caught my eye:
- Red Vinho Verde, where Doug tastes the Afros VV that I plugged here a couple of months ago
- The independence of wine writers, where Doug delivers his verdicts on the UK's wine writers (no scores, unfortunately)
There's a lot of good reading here.

Jamie, perhaps you could tell my friend Doug about the importance of feeds, it's such a shame not being able to always get to read him.
An interesting read, but I found it particularly fascinating that his comments on this blog seem to be even more illuminating and edifying (and less typo-ridden!)
I stumbled across the Grapevine blog recently. It's an absolute goldmine, and well worth checking out.
