Really like this wine. It’s a serious Bergerac Blanc from Luc de Conti. Two thirds Semillon, a third Sauvignon, aged in barrels (half of which are new).
Chateau Tour des Gendres Moulin des Dames Bergerac Blanc Sec 2007 France
14% alcohol. Yellow/gold colour. Rich nose of toast, honey and citrus. The palate has bold, rich, toasty pear fruit with some grapefruit freshness. Bold and intense; rich, yet fresh with a waxy, herby edge to the fruit. 93/100 (UK agent Les Caves de Pyrene)
This sounds like an amazing blend. Do you think I would be able to get it in the States? :-/
Always the same problem, we can’t ship to the States … but available in Belgium, yes !
Discovervin imports Chateau Tour des Gendres wines into Australia. The Bergerac Blanc is a beautiful wine and has been quite popular.
At Vinexpo, several people told us Luc De Conti is currently one of the best white wine makers in France.
For the past 34 years I have been creating a collection of wine labels from my home in northern California. It would be with great pleasure to be able to include your labels in my collection. I am interested in older vintage dated and labels with a vineyard designation. Thank you very much for your consideration.
