6 Comments on Shortlist for 2010 Roederer Awards revealed
First up, hearty congratulations on the multi-nominations Jamie. Look forward to September and hearing how you have done.
However, International Wine Writers’ Awards they may be, but they seem to have a heavy UK/ European bias.
Am I correct in making that statement? Is that pretty standard for these Awards?
Best regards
Stuart
I think I’m somewhere on the Longlist right after the hosemaster of wine and a very precocious cat that blogs about wine occasionally. ;D Congratulations on earning this recognitionm Jamie.
Well done mate – to be included on the same list as Jancis R is a major acheivement.
Well done Jamie. Mind you, what are Green & Blue Wines doing on the shortlist (again, last year too?). I made the point last year about shortlisting people who SELL wine, just because they have a nice blog or whatever too. And I was told “commercial” sites wouldn’t be included next time… Oh well. Cheers anyway. Richard.
I think you must have been close to the blogger award as well! Well done and good luck in Sept
Jamie, I’m truly honoured to be up against you in the International Wine Feature Writer category! In response to Stuart’s comment about the UK/European bias, I just wanted to wave the flag for South Africa (which is where both Michael Fridjhon – in the International Wine Columnist category – and I are based). Hope to see you at The Gherkin in September…
