Rosie’s new arrival

I arrived back from Chile this morning to find out that Rosie The Labradoodle had given birth at 0815.

Just one puppy – a girl, and she looks like she’ll be quite curly. It’s quite a change from the eight we had two years ago, and with all the costs involved we’ll be losing money this time even if we sell her (there are murmurs that we should keep her instead).

As with all baby animals, she is impossibly cute. I think that if I were to start a biotech company that genetically engineered baby animals to stay babies, I’d make some serious money. Imagine it: puppies that stayed puppies, or kittens that stayed kittens. Ethically, it may raise questions, though.

  1. Weird to just have the one after the eight last time. So cute though. Keep her for sure……although I do feel for the cats.

  2. Momma is beautiful and the pup is adorable. May I ask you a wine question? Many years ago I was given a bottle of a German white wine to commemorate the birth of my last child (now 30). All I remember about the label is that it said “Treppchen” and the label showed a small child climbing up a flight of stairs. Does this ring a bell? I would love to know more about it and whether or not it is still available. Thanks.
