Oh yes, I like this a lot. When Cornas is good, it can be great. This is a great example, from a young vigneron called Guillaume Gilles, and I believe that this 2007 Cornas was his first vintage. Top notch. Available in the UK from Vine Trail.
Guillaume Gilles Cornas 2007 Northern Rhone, France
14% alcohol. Sweet, brooding, ripe, meaty nose. Quite elegant with some liqueur-like richness. Authentic. Brilliantly concentrated, expressive palate is meaty, spicy, vivid and mineral. A rich, multidimensional wine that speaks of its vineyard origins. 95/100 (£20.45 Vine Trail)

Talking of tasting notes, what would be really nice, would be a drinking window for the wines you taste. A subjective and difficult subject I know, but would be useful especially for wines such as this. Love the blog BTW, keep up the good work.
Talking about prices, wouldn’t this Cornas be closer to the 27 £ price tag ?
