I do like Kiwi Pinot Noir quite a bit. Here’s a really good one from Gibbston Valley, who I visited a while back. Christopher Keys, the winemaker there, is doing some really good work.
Gibbston Valley Pinot Noir 2009 Central Otago, New Zealand
Intensely aromatic, with vivid black cherry fruit and a hint of blackcurrant. Angular and edgy. The palate has lovely freshness and acidity with bright black cherry fruit and some grippy tannins. Primary, with a spicy finish. Lots of flavour, but also elegance, and potential for further development. 93/100 (£25 The Real Wine Company link here)
