Really like this wine. Lots of personality, some elegance, and a haunting perfume – and at a good price, too. It’s from a co-op working in partnership with Jean Jean, and it just works.
Saint-Félix de Castelmaure Corbières 2010 Languedoc, France
13.5% alcohol. Ripe and beautifully framed, with a floral, meaty cherry and plum fruit nose that is fine and expressive. The palate shows sweet cherry and berry fruit but also a nice savoury character that is peppery with some olive notes, and some grippy tannin on the finish. Beautifully judged. 90/100 (£8.49 Averys)
I’m going to look for this one. Thanks for the post!
I just wish we had a better choice of Corbieres over here.

How long will these keep? Have a local retailer selling 1.5 litre bottles, was wondering if they would improve when kept 2-4 years? Or do I run a big risk of them turning flat?
Thanks!
This wine is pretty freaking tuts. Love the region. Great, long finish.
