Quinta
de Paços
Visiting Portugal's Vinho Verde region, part 5
Website: www.quintapacos.com
Quinta
de Paços is a Vinho Verde estate with history. It has been in the
hands of the same family for 400 years and 15 generations, and is
spread over two sites, one in Barcelos (Loureiro country) and one in
Monção (Alvarinho country). There are some 23 hectares of vines
altogether, 8 ha at Monção and 15 at Barcelos.
We
visited the Casa de Paços, a grand old house near Barcelos, with
owner José Bento de Silva Ramos (above).
