Merry Christmas

It's Christmas day, just. Staying up late because we have to make sure that Santa doesn't get caught by younger son who has set a booby trap for him, and is determined to stay up late in order to 'get' him.

It means we'll be tired and grouchy tomorrow!

Currently I'm drinking JP & JL Jamet Cotes du Rhone 2007, which is a deliciously drinkable Syrah of the type I could spend time with every night. It's fresh, bright, cherryish and a bit peppery. Nice balance.

Happy Christmas to all my loyal readers! You're the best!

Your son is obviously quite a character. Xmas Day is great when kids actually believe in Santa but spoilt somehwhat when they learn the truth.
Reckon the average kid finds out when they are between 6-8 years old.

Hope you had a great day though Jamie and thanks for the always interesting blog, even if at times you write nasty things about a certain varietal!!

PS Was just speaking with my family and they had to go because 'Wallace & Gromit' were coming on the telly. Are your kids fans?
