A brilliant red for under £6

I’m always delighted to be able to find a wine that ROCKS for very little money. And here is one such wine. I tried a sample on Thursday, and returned to it today, and it had held up beautifully. And it’s currently on offer at £5.48 in Asda down from £7.48. It’s a sure fire recommendation even at the regular price.

Viñalba Malbec/Syrah 2010 Patagonia, Argentina
14.5% alcohol. Wonderful pure sweet, fresh cherry and berry fruits aromatics. Real elegance with some sweet preserved fruit characters. The palate is sweetly fruited and pure with well defined, liqueur-like cherry fruit with a smooth texture and some spicy warmth. Pure and elegant in a ripe style. 90/100 (£7.48 Asda, but currently on offer at £5.48)
