This was another Prowein discovery. It’s from biodynamic Vacqueras producer Le Sang des Cailloux. This is the domaine’s traditional cuvee and it alternates over a three-year cycle with the names of each of the daughters of proprietor Serge Férigoule: Floureto, Doucinello and Azalaïs. I was so impressed I have just bought some: it has an almost Burgundian elegance that’s sadly all too rare in the Southern Rhône these days.
Le Sang des Cailloux Vacqueyras Cuvée Azalaïs 2012 Southern Rhône, FranceA blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 7% Mourvèdre and 3% Cinsault. Beautifully aromatic, pure and sweetly fruited with cherries and spice on the nose. The palate is silky and fine with lovely structure, and nice minerally, stony undercurrents to the very fine red cherry and plum fruit. This is irresistible. 94/100 (£21 Berry Bros & Rudd)

This looks awesome, cant wait to try it!
I have been a huge fan for 15 years. Wonderful wines.
This really sounds delicious, hard to find though, as is`s often case with the wines from Vacqueras..
