It&#8217;s a startlingly fresh, pure expression of Sauvignon Blanc from a new cool-climate region of Chile, and the best thing about it is that it doesn&#8217;t rely on methoxypyrazine (the green pepper\/grassy character that comes from chemicals present in unripe grapes) for its personality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Casa Silva Cool Climate Sauvignon Blanc 2009 Coastal Colchagua, Chile<br \/>\n<\/strong>13.5% alcohol. Fresh and aromatic with grapefruit, lime and a hint of passionfruit on the nose. Almost salty. The palate is bracing and fresh with high acidity and taut, crisp, nettly grapefruit and citrus notes.
