The packaging (you can&#8217;t see the wax capsule in this picture), the grape variety (Verdelho), the winemaking (natural ferment), the flavour, and &#8211; of course &#8211; the price (it&#8217;s not expensive, at around 55 Rand retail in South Africa).<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s made by David Cope and Simon Wibberley, at Adi Badenhorst&#8217;s place. There&#8217;s not much of it made, so it will be hard to be track down,\u00a0but I&#8217;m glad people are making wines like these and they deserve to be talked about, even if they aren&#8217;t mainstream.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dirty Julie 2012 Swartland, South Africa<\/strong><br \/>\nQuite rich, with some pear and peach fruit. Textured and broad in the mouth with some mineral and spice notes adding interest under the ripe, textured fruit. It&#8217;s a delicious drink, with a hint of seriousness to it. 91\/100<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love everything about this wine.
