Deep coloured. Mineral stone fruits nose. The palate shows white peach, plums and some oxidative apple and pear notes, with nuts and minerals. Fresh acidity. Thought provoking. 88\/100<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMGP9113.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5968\" title=\"IMGP9113\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMGP9113.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMGP9113.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMGP9113-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMGP9113-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMGP9113-400x267.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Vincent Ricard Le Vilain P\u2019tit Rouge 2010 Touraine, Loire, France<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is 90% C\u00f4t (which in the Loire is pronounced with a soft \u2018t\u2019), with the balance Cabernet Franc. Mineral, taut and spicy, with slightly meaty fresh black cherry fruits, plus notes of clove, tar and gravel. Fresh and quite savoury with real impact. Delicious for current drinking. 91\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ch\u00e2teau de Parnay Clos d\u2019Entre Les Murs Saumur Blanc 2008 Loire, France<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is a sophisticated oak-aged dry Chenin that\u2019s tight, taut and crisp with good acidity and a hint of oak. Pure crystalline and citrus fruits with some grapefruit freshness and also notes of nuts, spice and vanilla. Youthful and dense; for the long haul. 92\/100<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMGP9118.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5970\" title=\"IMGP9118\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMGP9118.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMGP9118.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMGP9118-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMGP9118-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMGP9118-400x267.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We then finished with a remarkable eau de vie made from Poire William, which weighed in at 50% alcohol.
