Louis Barruol of Saint Cosme, and David Quillin of Cave de Tain were there, with\u00a0some of their wines. We also had some Jaboulet wines on the table. Good texture with peach, herbs and what seems to be a bit of toasty oak. Lemony finish. 90\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jaboulet Saint-Joseph Le Grand Pomp\u00e9e 2009 Northern Rh\u00f4ne, France<\/strong><br \/>\nSmooth, ripe and pure with blackcurrant and black cherry fruit, backed up by notes of meat, cherry and spice. Supple, with good concentration and real typicity. Stylish effort. 90\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cave de Tain l\u2019Hermitage Au Couer des Si\u00e8cles Hermitage Blanc 2008 Northern Rh\u00f4ne, France<\/strong><br \/>\nMineral, spice, herbs and toast to the fore. Very fresh with good acidity and subtle oak influence. The palate shows white peach fruit with spice. Lovely texture and intensity, with an almost saline quality. Stylish. 93\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cave de Tain l\u2019Hermitage Epsilon Hermitage 2005 Northern Rh\u00f4ne, France<\/strong><br \/>\nRich, oaky and spicy with sweet, dense blackberry and black cherry fruit. Real intensity here, and a bit of elegance, but the oak is rather dominant. May resolve with time. 92\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cave de Tain l\u2019Hermitage Gambert de Loche Hermitage 2007 Northern Rh\u00f4ne, France<\/strong><br \/>\nIntense, bold black cherry fruit with notes of olive, tar and spice.
