First off, a Riesling from Donnhoff: the 2010 Norheimer Kirschheck Spatlese. The Bannockburn Pinot Noir from 2010, which showed lovely balance of ripe cherry and plum fruit. This was ripe but nicely poised with black cherry, plum and berry fruit, but also some nice savoury mineral characters. Very precise and off dry. Taut and mineral with citrus, lime and melon notes. Textured and really appealimh with lots of potential. 93\/100 (\u00a323 Laithwaites <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laithwaites.co.uk\/DWBase\/jsp\/article\/index.jsp?productId=prod3823584\">here<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Felton Road Pinot Noir Bannockburn 2010 Central Otago, New Zealand<\/strong><br \/>\nFull flavoured for a Pinot but not heavy,\u00a0with focused cherry and plum fruit. Bright with smooth texture and good acidity. Supple with a bit of spicy bite. Lovely wine. 91\/100 (2011 is \u00a330 from Laithwaites)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Domaine of the Bee Les Genoux 2010 IGP Cotes Catalanes, France<\/strong><br \/>\nA field blend of mainly Grenache and Carignan. This is the best barrel, bottled separately. Lovely black cherry and plum fruit that&#8217;s ripe, but which also has aa grainy, mineral, savoury streak to it and good tannins.
