He&#8217;s a fourth generation, 23 year old winegrower in Beaujolais, with 7 hectares in Brouilly to play with. This wine is really fine, and blind I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;d go to Gamay at all &#8211; probably more in the direction of a lighter cool-climate Syrah. It&#8217;s one of a range of Beaujolais being brought in by Sipp London, a new-ish merchant in South Kensington.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Romain Jambon Brouilly &#8216;Les Eronnes&#8217; 2010\u00a0Beaujolais, France<\/strong><br \/>\n13% alcohol. Fruity, vibrant and direct with lovely fresh black cherry and\u00a0plum fruit. Ripe and full yet still fresh with a nice peppery, grippy frame to the fruit. Juicy and vibrant, and quite pure. Good structure.
