What a bargain! Fresh vivid and bright with sweet berry and cherry fruit, as well as some raspberry notes. I like the fresh, spicy, grippy tannins, too. Fresh, vivid cherry and plum fruit nose with a herby, spicy edge. Nice grip. A hint of tarriness, good structure and fresh acidity. Distinctive and food friendly, and great value. 88/100 (£8.40 Tanners)

Miopasso Primitivo 2010 Puglia, Italy
13.5% alcohol. Sweet ripe berry and black cherry fruit. Lovely purity with a subtle meaty, savoury twist. Satisfying stuff with good definition and acidity and lovely sweet fruit.
