It&#8217;s expensive, I guess, but reinforces just how good Languedoc reds can be when grown on decent terroirs and taken seriously.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Domaine de Sil\u00e8ne Grande Cuv\u00e9e 2004 Gr\u00e8s de Montpellier, Coteaux du Languedoc, France<br \/>\n<\/strong>13.5% alcohol. This blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache really impresses. It shows warm climate elegance, with smooth-textured sweet berry fruits and some mineral and spice character, as well as hints of oak.
