Yesterday was busy: we started off in Toro, drove to Bierzo (some lovely wines from Victor Arroyo &#8211; Mencia and Godello), then up to Rias Baixas (visiting Adegas D&#8217;Altamira, who make three different kinds of Albari\u00f1o).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/IMGP0228.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-267\" title=\"IMGP0228\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/IMGP0228.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/IMGP0228.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/IMGP0228-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/IMGP0228-150x99.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/IMGP0228-400x266.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then we drove down to the Douro to stay overnight at Quinta Nova de Nossa Senorha da Carmo (simply Quinta Nova is easier!). I&#8217;m also about a stone heavier &#8211; the peril of travelling through wine country.
