Here&#8217;s a good one from a producer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wineanorak.com\/newzealand\/newzealandsvineyards_part10_EskValley.htm\">I visited a few years back<\/a>, and it&#8217;s not overly expensive, at just over a tenner. And it&#8217;s lovely.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Esk Valley Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec 2008 Gimblett Gravels, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand<br \/>\n<\/strong>A majestic expression of the Bordeaux red varieties. Lovely smooth aromatic nose of violets, black cherry and blackcurrant with subtle spicy notes. The palate is supple and elegant with ripe dark fruits and some refined gravelly structure, as well as seamless oak integration.
