These are my notes on some of the Ontario Chardonnays I tried.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leaning Post The Fifty Chardonnay 2017 Niagara Peninsula, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nTextured and ripe with nice citrus and spice notes. Has nice freshness and some depth, with a mealy edge. Nice focus. 90\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tawse Chardonnay 2015 Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nLively, bright and complex with lovely citrus and white peach fruit. Has a crystalline brightness to the fruit. Fine grained and nicely poised. 92\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Westcott Vineyards Reserve Chardonnay 2017 Vinemount Ridge, Niagara, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nFresh and precise with some toast and peach notes, as well as some citrus brightness. This has nice precision and freshness, as well as some mealy richness. 92\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stratus Weather Report Chardonnay 2017 Niagara on the Lake, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nRounded and smooth with ripe pear and peach fruit. Has real depth of flavour, Sweet mid palate with generous fruit. 89\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ravine Reserve Chardonnay 2017 St Davids Bench, Niagara, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nRich style with peach, ripe pear and spice notes. Lovely depth here with nice focus to the spice-framed fruit. 91\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malivoire Moira Chardonnay 2017 Beamsville Bench, Niagara, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nFresh and direct with nice pear fruit. Has a fine spicy quality. A bright unoaked style. Supple and delicious. 89\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>13<sup>th<\/sup> Street Winery L. Viseck Vineyard Chardonnay 2017 Creek Shores, Niagara, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nToasty, mealy and rich with lovely precision to the peach and baked apple fruit. Broad and delicious with nice depth. 91\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stratus Chardonnay Unfiltered Bottled With Lees 2017 Niagara on The Lake, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nThis has lovely mouthfeel and texture with rich pear and spice fruit, and a touch of peachy richness. Very fine grained and quite delicious with some elegance. Such a lovely ripe expression of Chardonnay. 93\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Henry of Pelham Chardonnay 2017 Short Hills Bench, Niagara, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nRipe but balanced with sweet pear and melon notes. Bold with some bready notes in the mix. Rich style. 90\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hidden Bench Chardonnay 2017 Beamsville Bench, Niagara, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nNice richness and depth with some spicy hints to the bold citrus and white peach fruit. Shows nice depth with good texture and some freshness. Stylish stuff. 92\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adamo Chardonnay 2017 Ontario, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nCreamy, peachy, focused nose. The palate shows apple, nuts and citrus. Nice depth here, with a savoury twist. 89\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cloudsley Cellars Foxcroft Vinyeard Chardonnay 2017 Twenty Mile Bench, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nThis has lovely peach and pear fruit with nice density and some spiciness. Rich, dense and textured with some depth. 92\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cave Spring Estate Chardonnay 2016 Beamsville Bench, Niagara, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nRipe pear and peach fruit with a smooth, sweet mid palate. Has nice depth and weight in the mouth, and some fruit sweetness. 88\/100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bachelder Wismer Wingfield Chardonnay 2016 Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara, Canada<\/strong><br \/>\nRounded and rich with pear, peach and spice notes.
