Here are a few notes of good bottles consumed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Elder Pinot Noir 2014 Martinborough, New Zealand<\/strong><br \/>\n14% alcohol. Supple with lush, textured sweet black cherry fruit and some plum and damson notes. It\u2019s leaning towards richness but also has a nice grainy, stony undercurrent. Nice balance between the sweet fruit and the more savoury characters. Quite silky with some green sappy notes in the background. Has a little bit of spicy bite. Nicely complex and savoury with herbs, iodine and iron notes. Rich and textured with sweet black cherry and plum fruit. This has a lot weight with smooth, sweet fruit and fine spicy structure. There\u2019s a bit of saltiness, too. Subtle undergrowth and spice notes, too.
