My buddy Karl started proceedings off well by bring round a wonderful beer. It was a cask ale from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twickenham-fine-ales.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Twickenham Fine Ales<\/a> &#8211; the &#8216;Strange Brew&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Now I love bottled beer, but cask ales just taste different, and to enjoy them you have to go to a pub. Nothing wrong with that, but it&#8217;s nice to be able to enjoy a cask ale at home. The beer Karl brought along, which he purchased at local wine merchant Noble Green wines, was in a four pint plastic carton of the sort used for milk, taken straight from a cask.<\/p>\n<p>Strange Brew is a wonderful dark &#8216;golden ale&#8217; with lovely hoppy character, and a bit of spiciness. It&#8217;s incredibly easy to drink, and it was polished off pretty quickly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Had a fun dinner party last night.
