It has fruity flavours: wild strawberry, even some cherry. Elegant and textural, this is serious stuff.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-14642\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/katsuyamaden-500x333.jpg\" alt=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/katsuyamaden-500x333.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/katsuyamaden-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/katsuyamaden-400x266.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/katsuyamaden.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Katsuyama&#8217;Den&#8217; is another serious Sake made with rice that has been 35% polished, and it&#8217;s a Junmai Daiginjo. This shows amazing concentration and balance, and with its complex flavours it&#8217;s almost perfect.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-14643\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/katsuyamagen-500x333.jpg\" alt=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/katsuyamagen-500x333.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/katsuyamagen-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/katsuyamagen-400x266.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.wineanorak.com:\/wineblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/katsuyamagen.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Katsuyama &#8216;Gen&#8217; is a sweet Sake inspired by Ch\u00e2teau d&#8217;Yquem, and it is deliciously viscous, sweet and complex with lovely spicy depth, and an eternal finish.<\/p>\n<p>These are such interesting flavour experiences, and I think it requires a slightly different mindset to appreciate Sake rather than wine.
