This is one of the most famous of all Beaujolais. It’s from the estate of the late Marcel Lapierre<\/a>, now run by his son Matthieu, who has now been involved for over 10 years, and his daughter Camille. Lapierre \u00a0have 13 hectares in Villie-Morgon, farmed organically. They were pioneers of natural Beaujolais, and the only addition is some sulfur dioxide at bottling in a portion of the production. \nAromatic, slightly meaty, vivid raspberry fruit is the dominant theme here, with lovely freshness to the palate. It’s pretty and yet a bit rustic with nice grippy structure. So pretty and detailed with a wild side, but also lovely fruit. 93\/100<\/p>\n\n
