This is one of the cult grower Champagne producers.\u00a0Marie-No\u00eblle Ledru took over her 6 hectare family domain in 1984. It’s based in Ambonnay, and all the wines are hand-riddled, hand-disgorged and produced from vineyards farmed without herbicides or chemicals. In 2010 Ledru lost 4 of her 6 hectares when the family sold off some vineyards. The result? These wines are getting even harder to find. But if you can get them, they are spectacular value for money.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>This is exceptional. Taut, fresh and lemony it has bright citrus fruit. Pure and linear with a hint of cherry. Juicy and bright with amazing precision, stunning focus and keen acidity. I think this was the 2014 disgorgement, but I’m not sure. 94\/100\u00a0
