I’m getting into grower Champagne at the moment. Some stunning wines, often at very good prices. This lovely: it’s from R&L Legras<\/a> in Chouilly, the most northerly village in the Cotes des Blancs, and it’s the same price as a Grand Marque NV. Which is nuts. I’ve reviewed wines before from them here<\/a>, here<\/a>, here<\/a> and here<\/a> before.<\/p>\n

Champagne R&L Legras Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru NV<\/strong>
\n12.5% alcohol. Fine, taut and citrussy with lovely bright lemony fruit and a subtle toastiness. Very pure with lovely precision and a beautiful elegance. Youthful but already complex. 93\/100 (\u00a333.95 Berry Bros & Rudd<\/a>)<\/p>\n
