This is the sort of wine I just love, even though it’s one that probably needs to be drunk up now. It’s inexpensive but it’s authentic. It tastes of where it comes from: the northern Rh\u00f4ne, interpreted through the lens of Syrah. It’s not trying to be anything other than what it is, and I respect that. And if you have some in the cellar and \u2013 for some unthinkable reason \u2013 you don’t drink it all in its youth, it’s going to hang on in there for quite a while without falling over.<\/p>\n

\n12.5% alcohol. Perfumed olive and cherry fruit nose is floral with a savoury twist. The palate is bright with supple raspberry fruit and some savoury peppery notes. It’s just beginning to show its bones. It’s the sort of wine that is best drunk young, but this is still delivering pleasure at age 6.5. Time to drink up, now. 89\/100<\/p>\n
