Enjoyed this new vintage of Pewsey Vale Riesling. From memory, I think it’s the best vintage I’ve had of it. I have also always loved the label. At around £12 per bottle, it’s also cracking value.

Pewsey Vale Eden Valley Riesling 2014 Barossa, Australia
12.5% alcohol. From a 16 acre vineyard high (440-490 m) in the Eden Valley, this is a bit of an Aussie classic, and the 2014 vintage is the best I can remember. This is bracingly aromatic with a limey nose together with some tangerine notes. It’s dry but there’s some richness to the fruit, with hints of grapes and honey. This has the richness to balance the lemony acidity, and it’s quite lovely. 92/100

  1. The 2015 is even better with a bracing core lemon and lime. I drank four of them young and shall keep the other eight for a magical, experience in eight years time. It will easily evolve on its acid structure.
