Video: the spectacular Quinta dos Malvedos in the Douro, Portugal

A film from my recent Douro visit. It’s Graham’s spectacular Quinta dos Malvedos, shot the day before harvest began.

For more on Malvedos, take a look at the superb Graham’s blog.

  1. Wow, stunning video, beautiful landscape, beautiful grapes. By the way, Graham’s just introduced their 1961 Single Harvest Tawny Port here in the Netherlands on monday. Great aged Tawny, with incredible depth and complexity.

  2. Hi Jamie – not sure if this is considered very bad form, but do you have any insight on if 2011 might be declared? you seem to be in portugal a lot!

  3. It’s too soon to say whether it will be a declaration year. But 2008, 2009 and 2010 weren’t, and 2011 is looking quite good so far, so if I were a betting man, I’d put some money on 2011 being a declared vintage

  4. Jamie, I’m heading to Beaune on the 6th I have friends from Hawaii that part own a vineyard there… Any tips for what to see when I’m there? Unfortunately JB has to work and can’t make it. Appreciate the comment you left on my blog, any blog love I can get I’ll take!
