A nice picture from NZ, lifting the London gloom

Here’s a picture from my recent trip, which really captures the wildness of the Central Otago wine region. It’s an aerial view of a winery in the Central Otago region. I think it’s in the Gibbston district (and suspect it may be Chard Farm). Can anyone help with a positive identification? Wish I was still in New Zealand. It’s cold, wet and grey here in London.

  1. This is an aerial view of the Winehouse and Kitchen Restaurant which also doubles as the cellar door for Van Asch and Freefall Wines amongst others. Was lucky enough to enjoy an awesome long lunch there over the Christmas break.
Henry Van Asch teamed up with AJ Hackett to start the NZ bungy jumping caper many years back. Their flagship Bungy site is just 200m back down the highway out of shot.

  2. Yep – definitely looks like Chard Farm to me; amazing drive to get there.

New blog looks good Jamie – well done

  3. Hi Jamie,

That’s not Chard Farm. Chard farm is back further from the water’s edge. I think that’s “The Winehouse and Kitchen” which is right beside the AJ Hackett bungy bridge complex.

In fact google maps agrees with me http://tinyurl.com/yhqy25h

    Cheers

    Adrian

  4. although I don’t fly to work, that looks like the winehouse and kitchen to me, and Chard Farm’s driveway is across the road there
