Champagne Robert Moncuit Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru

This is one of several wines I was recently sent by Lot18, which is a new (to the UK; it has been going for a couple of years in the USA) wine retailer specializing in selling small lots of wines to a member-only audience. I’ve not seen enough of Lot18’s offers to comment on whether they are a good place to buy wine or not (they only have a small number of wines currently offered on the website) – this was certainly a very good fizz and at £30 seems to be competitively priced.

You can read more about Lot18’s launch in the UK here. And there’s an article by Fiona Beckett of the Guardian on them here.

Champagne Robert Moncuit Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs NV
Yellow colour. Fresh, lively, toasty nose with precision and purity. There’s a really lively citrussy core with some richer, toasty, hazelnut notes in the background. Tight, zippy and lively. 90/100 (£30 Lot18)
