OK, I admit it. Some of my monthly recommendations tend to be wines that are often hard to find in the sorts of places where most 'normal' people shop for wine. So I've been listening to my readers. I know a lot of you visit this site looking for a list of recommended wines that you can print off and take with you on your weekly shop. So here it is - the wineanorak's shopping list.

For the sake of usefulness, I've arranged this section by retailer. Over the next few weeks I'll be adding pages, with the goal of eventually being able to cover each major retailer. I might even add smaller independent wine merchants, too.

The basis for most of these lists are the recommendations I make in my weekly wine columns for The Sunday Express, and also the Saturday magazine of The Western Mail, the daily newspaper of Wales. For now some of the lists are quite short: don't go away with the impression that these are the only wines worth buying from each retailer. The lists will grow fast over the coming weeks, so do check back.
